Located on a hill away from the city center, "Ogi no Sato Onsen". From the public bath and the open-air bath, you can overlook the Kuju mountain range, and there is a plate outside the window of the public bath with the name of the mountain that can be seen from there, so you can see which mountain you can see while soaking in the hot water. The quality of the spring is bicarbonate and chloride spring, and it is colorless and transparent. In addition to the large public bath, there is an open-air bath, a sauna, and a family bath. The open-air cypress bath has a good view during the day, but it is also recommended to use it at night when the starry sky spreads.

The hot spring facility "Yudoro Yuhana" attached to the accommodation facility "Kajikaan" is equipped with a large public bath for men and women, a bedrock bath, and a private bath. You can enjoy 100% hot water flowing from the source with a bottom-in bottom-out method, which is rare in Japan, and you can see the scale and flowers of the hot spring that are densely adhered to it. It is said that when the source was discovered when dug by Mr. Nubukuro, it was named "Kutami Onsen Hote-no-yu". You can enjoy a carbonated spring that flows 100% from the source, and although the source itself is colorless, it is also called "Nanashiki Onsen" because of the mysterious hot spring that changes color depending on the weather. The large public bath, which has a huge pillar-shaped joint with a height of 2 meters, can be used for day trips. The area around the vent covered with precipitates (scales) has a limestone cave-like atmosphere, and you can see the concentration of hot spring ingredients. The source temperature is 52 degrees Celsius, which is high among Nagayu hot springs, and in order to adjust the temperature to the appropriate temperature without adding water, the scale is carefully shaved to create a path for the source around the bathtub and provide hot water flowing from the source. Due to the high temperature, which is unusual for long hot springs, many people who know long hot springs well go to them in winter.

Hokain Onsen Sanso

Hokeiin Onsen Sanso is reached on foot in about 2 hours after parking your car at the Kuju trailhead. Nestled among mountains such as Mount Kuju, Nakadake, and Kurodake, even the day-use baths offer a frontal view of Mounts Ofuna, Hiraji, and Tachinaka, allowing you to enjoy the scenery while bathing. The colorless, transparent water is reputed to be beneficial for neuralgia and fatigue recovery, attracting both climbers and those seeking therapeutic bathing. After your soak, relax on the outdoor open deck and immerse yourself in nature.

Nagayu Onsen Recuperation Cultural Center "Gozenyu"

Gozen-yu features a striking, unique building that incorporates German architectural styles. The three-story facility offers a variety of baths including a large communal bath, open-air baths, family baths with different atmospheres, and a sauna. It boasts three separate hot springs at differing temperatures of 46.8°C, 45°C, and 29.7°C, and depending on the season you can enjoy colder or hotter baths. You can even partake in the traditional practice of drinking the spring water after your soak.

Opened in 2016, this day-use only hot spring facility features a large communal bath with gender-separated open-air baths plus a total of 8 private baths. Each private bath includes its own indoor and open-air section and even allows you to park your car right in front, making it popular with families with small children or those spanning three generations. After bathing, enjoy soft-serve ice cream made with seasonal fruits.

Fuku Neko-yu allows you to enjoy what is known as the “beauty-enhancing bath” featuring magnesium bicarbonate spring water in two private baths. Attached to a doll workshop, its landmark is a sign that reads ‘Fortune Bath – Fuku Neko-yu.’ At the entrance, you are greeted by handcrafted beckoning cats. From the private baths you can gaze upon a small courtyard dotted with Fuku Neko figures. Since these charming figures are hidden in various spots within the family baths, be sure to look for them. Please note that shampoo and soap are not provided, so bring your own.

Hakutan Onsen Fureai no Yu

Fureai-no-Yu at Shiratani Onsen, renovated and reopened in April 2017 (Heisei 29), is a beloved public bath in the local community. Recognizable by its large sign along Prefectural Road 131, the daily-changing communal bath offers either a foot bath or an open-air bath experience. Additionally, ladles and cups are provided at the communal bath and the facility entrance for those who wish to drink the hot spring water. Its drinkable onsen water is popular, and if you bring your own bottle, you can even take some home.

Among Nagayu Onsen’s renowned carbonated springs – famous as Japan’s best – Lamune Onsenkan lets you experience the unique thrill of bubbles clinging to your body like soda. In addition to the large communal bath, there are family baths, each with an open-air section featuring carbonated spring water. Since the open-air baths tend to be on the warmer side, alternating between them and the communal bath is recommended. Their original onsen towels adorned with unique characters are also very popular.
