(1) The night view that can be seen from Mt. Hakodate is also called the "million-dollar night view" and has been selected as one of the three great night views in Japan. From the summit of the mountain at an altitude of 334 meters, the scenery of the twinkling lights of the city between the sea is as beautiful as a jewel box!
* You may not be able to climb to the summit of Mt. Hakodate due to bad weather, but in that case, there is no alternative sightseeing.
* Depending on weather conditions, you may not be able to see the night view.
(2) At Goryokaku Tower, you can overlook a 360-degree view of Hakodate from a height of 90 meters above the ground, from the city of Hakodate, Mt. Hakodate, and Mt. Eyama. You can also admire the Goryokaku moat and its characteristic star-shaped structure from above. In addition, you can learn about the history of Goryokaku in the exhibition space, and there is also a bronze sitting statue "Hijikata Toshizono Statue". * Admission fee is not included in the tour price.
(3) The Hakodate Magistrate's Office was a government office of the Edo shogunate established as a base for the defense of the northern frontier of Japan, and was completed in 1864 (the first year of the Genji era) together with Goryokaku, but after that, it became the stage of the Hakodate War and was dismantled in 1871 (Meiji 4) in just seven years. The current building was restored in 2010 (Heisei 22) after 140 years, and it is a beautiful building where the traditional skills of the palace carpenter Japan shine. * Admission fee is not included in the tour price.
(4) The building was originally used as a warehouse during the Meiji period, and the building with a retro atmosphere began to attract attention, and in 1988 (Showa 63), it was reborn as a shopping mall "Kanamori Red Brick Warehouse" that reused the warehouse. You can enjoy shopping at various shops such as general stores, souvenir shops, cafes, and beer halls.
